Hot Cocoa Mix

3 c. nonfat dry milk
2 c. confectioners' sugar
1 1/2 c. cocoa powder
1 1 2/ c. white chocolate chips
1/4 tsp. salt

Combine ingredients in a large bowl. Working in two batches, pulse ingredients in food processor until chocolate is finely ground. Store in airtight container for up to three months. To make hot cocoa, stir 1/3 c. of mix into 1 c. of hot milk.

  1. This sounds like a great idea for gifts for the neighbors. Could you give me an idea how much this makes so I could get a feel for how to package it and how cost effective it would be?

  2. I have never seen it with the white chocolate chips. I bet it would be so tasty!

  3. Jill, it makes (roughly) 7 cups of mix, so about 20 servings or so. Also, I used this recipe for the first time last year and am pretty sure I used hot water once instead of milk and it was still delicious -- just not as creamy. You can try it and label it accordingly. :)

    Amy, I hadn't either, but the white chocolate chips make it even creamier and chocolatier (or however you would spell it if it were a real word :D )!
